Two very different sisters are mourning hte death of their father.

Triggered by the death in the fmily, events are put in mothion that ultimately lead to tragedy for one sister and the possibility of redemption for the other.  It is the unpredictablitity of their actions that keeps the audience on the edge of their seats.

A moral tale of the struggle between God and mammon? A rich social satire of the 1980s? Or somewhere deliciously in between?

David Hare's blistering play of a family that turns in on tiself is set against the backdrop of the Thatcher era when open, boastful money-making was now woven into the fabric of middle-class English life.
