As powerful as it is timeless, Edinburgh Graduate Theatre Group in collaboration with the RSC Open Stages Project is proud to present William Shakespeare’s Hamlet. To the unfamiliar: a young prince Hamlet has returned home, where things are truly rotten under the surface. His father has died under mysterious circumstances. His uncle Claudius has stepped in, married Hamlet's mother Gertrude, and assumed the throne. Hamlet has no love for his uncle and even less when the image of his father’s ghost appears one night, proclaiming that he was murdered. Hamlet’s father now seeks a task that he bestows upon his tormented son: revenge.
