And welcome to our website!
We've been putting on theatre productions in Edinburgh for 60 years. We tend to do four a year. A mix of contemporary to classic.
Recent years have seen us do shows by people like Mark Ravenhill, Abi Morgan, Patrick Marber, Martin McDonagh and Caryl Churchill. But we've also revisited classics from Brecht, Sophocles and of course, William Shakespeare.
We're always on the lookout for new people to get involved and auditions are open to everyone. So, whether you're interested in appearing on stage or keeping busy behind the scenes, do get in touch. We'd love to hear from you.
We're excited to announce our 60th Anniversary Season for 2014. In the spring we'll be producing the UK amature premier of Tracy Letts' pulitzer prize winning August: Osage County, directed by David Grimes. The Fringe Festial in August will again see us mounting two producitons. Our early play will be John Webster's classic The Duchess of Malfi, directed by Sara-Jane McGeachy. The later play will be Antony Neilson's The Wonderful World of Dissocia (a 10th Annivesary production), directed by Ross Hope. The fall will see us mount David Eldridge's adaptation of Festen, directed by Claire Wood. And if all of that wasn't enough, in the lead up to the Fringe, Dan Sutton will helm our first ever improvised "twitterverse" production, centering around the events leading up to World War 1. An exciting season, I think you'll agree.
To find out more about any of our productions, please see their individual entries on the production page. Please check back often, as we will update the information on the productions, including audition information, through out the year.
