And welcome to our website!
We've been putting on theatre productions in Edinburgh for 60 years. We tend to do four a year. A mix of contemporary to classic.
Recent years have seen us do shows by people like Mark Ravenhill, Abi Morgan, Patrick Marber, Martin McDonagh and Caryl Churchill. But we've also revisited classics from Brecht, Sophocles and of course, William Shakespeare.
We're always on the lookout for new people to get involved and auditions are open to everyone. So, whether you're interested in appearing on stage or keeping busy behind the scenes, do get in touch. We'd love to hear from you.
We're delighted with our 60th Anniversary Season for 2014. In May, we produced the UK amateur premier of Tracy Letts' Pulitzer prize-winning August: Osage County, directed by David Grimes. The Fringe Festival saw us mounting two productions. Our early play was John Webster's classic The Duchess of Malfi, directed by Sara-Jane McGeachy. Our later play was Antony Neilson's The Wonderful World of Dissocia (a tenth anniversary production), directed by Ross Hope. The fall will see us mount David Eldridge's adaptation of Festen, directed by Claire Wood and also a tenth anniversary production.
Keep watching this space as we will be announcing our full 2015 Season soon! To whet your whistle, we're happy to announce our Spring show, Titus Andronicus! Titus is being produced under the RSC OpenStages programme in conjunction with Dundee Rep. Auditions will be held early December, and information can be found on the productions page or by clicking here.
To find out more about any of our productions, please see their individual entries on the production page. Please check back often, as we will update the information on the productions, including audition information, through out the year.
